It has been two weeks since my arrival to the Netherlands. I have to say it was pretty good seeing my parents again, and to spend time with them. But even two weeks after coming back, I still feel “homesick” towards Sweden and my friends. I have decided to, when I graduate, search for a job in Sweden to live there permanently as it turned out that it really is the country for me. But right now, my focus will be on finishing my thesis and doing my internship at Henri Willig.
Looking back at my experience, I’m still really happy. I have learned so much, when it comes to myself I have learned how to control my emotions more, to communicate with different kind of people, I learned a new language and I learned about what is going on in different parts of the world when it comes to economics, politics and cultural aspects. It was great to spend evenings with people that have such a different view of the world and to really discuss with them on their point of view.
For me personally, I am more confident, I look at the world differently, and I am grateful and happy with my life. This experience has changed my life, how cliché that might be, it is the truth. For the people that will do their exchange soon, but feel unsure or worried about it, don’t hesitate to send me a message!
Thank you for following me on this experience.
