BLOG 04.

It has been a while since my last post, and a lot has happened. A few weeks ago I was sitting with some people from my building, when they asked me if I wanted to join their trip to Norway. I immediately said yes, as it was a good opportunity to get closer with the people that I was already hanging out with. Also, Norway is a beautiful country, and being able to travel with car through the country sounded like a great plan. We spent one week together, with 10 people, 2 cars and 5 different hostels. Honestly, when looking back I still do not find the right words to describe this week. What I hoped for came true, as the people that went with the trip created such a great relationship, that I can say that I will see this people after this exchange again. I will add some pictures to this post, so you can see how beautiful it was.

When coming back, however, we had to go back to school. I was feeling a bit sick, and due to the corona I was not allowed to go to university. A week later we received the message that university would close and all the exams would be cancelled. Since last week, we have online classes via an app named Zoom, and exams are changed into individual assignments. A lot of people went home after this happened, and a lot of countries had lockdown due to the corona. My friends and I decided to stay, and even though the borders have closed and the university is closed, all the stores are open, the bars and restaurants are open and nothing feels or seems different than normal. For us, this is really weird as we know what is happening in our home country. We all live in the same building, and decided to quarantine ourselves together.

For me, going home is not an option. I would not risk the health of my parents, as I am still sick. Also, even though this exchange is not going as it should, I want to make the most out of it, for myself and for my study. I will keep you updated, and stay safe!
